Abstract: OLIVER, LEA RIZA C., PENING, PAOLO D., RICAMONTE, WILLIAM ALLAN S., "Level of Awareness on Gender and Development (GAD) Practices of the City Hall Employees in Trece Martires, Cavite". Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Mr. Arnel Sanchez. This study assessed the awareness of employees on gender and development practices in the City Hall of Trece Martires, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to identify the demographic profile of the participants; assess the GAD practices in the City Hall of Trece Martires, Cavite as perceived by its employees and; know if there is no significant relationship between the profile of the participants and their level of awareness of the GAD practices in their workplace. Descriptive correlational research was used in this study. A total of 140 or 34 percent of the total population of the City Hall of Trece Martires, Cavite served as the participants of this study. Included were regular, contractual, job order, and co terminus. Convenience Sampling was used in collecting data. A self-made survey questionnaire was used as instrument in data gathering. Based on the data gathered, the important findings are shown as to the demographic profile of the participants, majority belonged to age bracket of 20-25 years old, female, married, college graduate and regular employees of City Hall of Trece Martires. On GAD practices, employees had "High Level of Awareness" in terms of designation and promotion with total mean scores of 3.62 and 3.70, respectively, while in terms of seminar the employees had "Fair Level of Awareness" with a total mean score of 3.11. The null hypothesis of no significant relationship between the demographic profile of the employees and their awareness on GAD practices was accepted. It is concluded that the employees are aware of GAD Policies and Program as implemented by the City Hall Administration and their awareness may not affect their profile. Based on the results of findings and implications, it is recommended that the City Hall Administration may sustain high awareness of their employees in GAD practices by implementing and by equally disseminating the GAD rules and regulation to them. The employees should cooperate well to the GAD policies that implemented for them.
