Abstract: MARANAN,PERPETUA, VICENTE. Bachelor MARANAN, Soybeans". A Case Study Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Don Severino Agricultural 1993. Adviser: Dr. Nelia C. Cresino. A case study of Taho and Tokwa Factory in Medicion II, Imus, Cavite was conducted from January to February 1993. This was undertaken to determine the following: production and management practices in processing soybeans; marketing practices and financing employed; 3) cost and return of producing taho and tokwa; and 4) problems encountered operation of the firm. The study focused on the operation of the Data were based from interviews with the owner of the firm and other management staff of the factory. Actual observation and visitations were also undertaken to obtain additional information. the firm. Based from the cost and return analysis made, it was learned that the firm generated a net income of P120,000 in its initial operation. This amount was more than enough to pay the initial capital invested. After evaluating the firm, it was found out that the increasing cost of raw materials was the major problem that affected the income of the firm. Moreover, some mismanagement practices were also observed. minimize the cost of production, the author believes should scout for more suppliers who can offer cheaper cost of raw materials. In addition to this, the manager should closely supervise the that the firm’s production process.
