Abstract: SUVANGRAJANG, CHAICHAN, "Technology Assessment: Unconventional Feedstuffs for Boilers." B.S. Thesis, Animal Husbandry, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang„ Cavite, October, 1988. Adviser: Dr. Danilo R. Escano. Results of researches conducted on the utilization of ground coffee pulp, grated coconut meat, dried poultry waste and cassava leaf meal for broilers were used in this study to assess the feeding technology evolved and to identify factors which restrict their adoption. The poor palatability of the different unconven-tional feedstuffs as compared to normal rations neces-sitates their incorporation in a mixture with more tasty feeds to increase their consumption. The prohibitive price of coconut and the presence of unidentified growth retardants and toxic contents of the different unconventional feedstuffs limit their effi-cient use in broiler rations.
