The study was conducted to develop a software ‘CvSU Computerised Voting System’ which can be used for casting and counting of votes during election. The software has a biometrics feature used in enrollment and verification of voters and officers, a USB flash drive and LAN connection for transferring and uploading election data and report of the election results and voters turn out.
Rapid Application Development Methodology was used in the development of the software which includes analysis, requirements analysis, designing, coding, and testing and turnover.
Softwares used in the study were the following: Windows XP was used as the operating system, MS Access for the database, Visual basic 6.0 as the programming
language, MS Excel for the reports, and MS Word for the documentation.
