Bachelor of Science in Criminology, College of Criminal Justice. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Ms. Ruby Ann Espineli. The study was conducted in Indang Cavite. The study was aimed to: identify the demographic profile of the participants; asses the competency level of social institutions in the protection of juveniles as perceived by them; asses the competency level of social institutions in the protection of juveniles as perceived by juveniles; identify if there is a significant relationship between the demographic profile and the competency level of social institutions in the protection of juveniles as perceived by them; and to identify if there is a significant difference in the perceptions of social institutions and juveniles on the competency level of social institutions in the protection of juveniles. Descriptive survey through quota sampling was done. Participants included 10 teachers, 10 religious leaders, 10 government officials, 10 parents and 80 high school students. Majority of the participants belonged to ages 40-49 years old, male and are also married. Most of them belonged to 1-10 years in length of service. Findings revealed that the social institutions are Highly Competent in the protection of juveniles in terms of knowledge, skills and attitude. Among the profile, Age has a significant relationship with the competency level of social institutions as perceived by them. l here is also a significant difference between the perceptions of social institutions and juveniles on the competency level of social institutions in the protection juveniles
