The study was conducted from September to December 2021 in the Philippines. Specifically, the study also aimed to describe the company profile in terms of firms' age, firm size, capital structure, determine the profitability, solvency, liquidity, and activity of publicly traded industrial companies in the food, beverages, and tobacco sub-sector within 5 years. Descriptive research design under quantitative approach was employed in the study. Secondary data specifically the financial statements of 12 companies under the food, beverages and tobacco sub-sector listed on Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) were collected through its website. Further, industry averages were used to interpret the computed ratios. The findings revealed that most of the companies were not generating enough profit in the past five years. Most of these companies were affected positively and negatively by the pandemic that occurred in 2020. On the other hand, this research likewise revealed that companies such Century Pacific food Inc., Emperador Inc., RFM Corp., San Miguel Food and Beverages Inc., and Universal Robina Corp. were profitable for five years, while most of the 12 companies were observed to be solvent, liquid and able to pay the current obligations. This study also showed that none of the companies were efficient in utilizing the assets and turn into revenues. This research suggests for the management to have a flexible business model due to unpredictable events like the pandemic that happening today, and it has a huge impact on the business, to easily adopt the changes in situations like a pandemic. Moreover, this study recommends increasing the sales and managing the operations effectively, especially the companies that were affected negatively by the pandemic. Thus, to increase sales, the company's management needs to improve the product quality and sales strategies. Also, to have an effective and better consumption of the resources, the company management needs to manage its assets in the best way.
