David Furniture industry in the Philippines has evolved through the years. The industry's capacity to manufacture and distribute furniture items made it become recognized in the field of world class furniture manufacturing. The concentration on massive manufacturing of furniture items has to do with proper distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices. The improvement of the industry makes it noteworthy to researchers to focus on the operations of furniture shops in Cavite. Primarily, the study endeavored to understand the distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices of furniture shops in selected municipalities in Cavite. The study also distinguished the efficiency of distribution, transportation and warehousing practices and ascertains the significant relationship between the profits earned by furniture shops and the level of efficiency of distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices. To address the objectives of the study, the researchers used descriptive, correlational as research design and Likert scale to determine the level of efficiency of distribution, transportation and warehousing practices of furniture shop operators. The researchers obtained 60 participants from Business Permit and License Office (BPLO) of the six towns in Cavite including Dasmarinas City, Silang, Bacoor City, Imus City, General Trias, and Trece Martires City. Key findings of the study revealed that furniture shops perform distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices in order for them to generate profit. Moreover, the study discovered that furniture shops in Cavite have high level of efficiency in distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices. The study also showed that there is no significant relationship between the profits earned by furniture shops and the level of efficiency of distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices. Very high efficiency level of distribution, transportation, and warehousing practices obtained by the participants does not affect the profitability of the business. There may be other factors that significantly affect the profitability of furniture shops in Cavite. It was also noted that participants with fewer encountered problems were more profitable than those participants who encountered many problems. There were also problems common with the participants which are needed to identify possible solution to avoid reoccurrences if not totally eliminated and may somehow draw higher profits among furniture shops operating in Cavite.
