The study was conducted to develop a web-based record system for the Office of Business Affairs of the Cavite State University. The software was developed to lessen the workload of the administrator and every unit heads of OBA. The study aimed to replace the manual method of recording transactions and making reports.
The system analysis and design was conducted at the Cavite State University while evaluation of the software was conducted at the Information Technology building, Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang, Cavite.
The Fourth Generation Technique was used as a paradigm for the development of the software. It was designed following the Use Case diagram and the Class diagram, visualizing the program architecture. Java Server Pages was used for the development of the software, MySQL for the database, APACHE and Jakarta Tomcat as web servers and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX for the interface.
The Web-based Record System is a very effective method of recording transactions and reports generation for the OBA.
