BAY, IVAN PAUL L. and MONTES, MARK ANGELO T. Development of E-Learning System in Integrated Science for Amadeo National High School. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Perey.
The study was conducted to develop an E-Learning System in Integrated Science for Amadeo National High School. The system was developed for the benefit of 7th grade students and Integrated Science teachers of Amadeo National High School. The methodology used in the system was Iterative Development. It was composed of the following phases: planning, analysis and design, implementation, and evaluation. The system was composed of five (5) modules: profile module, subject module, assessment module, report module, and communication module. Profile module contained features of viewing, adding, and editing profile. Subject module contained lesson, glossary, and games. Assessment module included quiz and assignment. Report module included students rating and lists of students and teachers while communication module was composed of forum, bulletin, and private messaging. The system had three (3) levels of access: administrator, teacher, and student. Every user has its own LRN (Learners Reference Number) and password. The teacher can modify student accounts while the administrator can modify all user accounts. The system was developed using PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as the developing tool, MySQL as the database, and cross-platform web server solution stack, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL database and interpreters for scripts written in the PHP and Perl programming languages (XAMPP) server as the localhost. Adobe Dreamweaver was used in developing the design of the system, Adobe Flash for games, and Adobe
Photoshop and Illustrator for the system design.
