Abstract: ABENILLA, LIZABELLE M., BOTIS, JOHN GLEEN C., and BUENAFLOR, TRACY E. Educators’ Demographic Characteristics and Students’ Academic Engagement: Basis for Diversity Management Program in Universities in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human : Resource Development Management, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Ms. Mary Grace A. Ilagan. Education is key to success, and educators hold great contributions for : students’ achievement. Educators guide, mould and help students develop their Q learning ability. It is important that teachers build rapport and connection to their ; students to ensure the transfer of knowledge. This study attempted to find the relationship of educators’ demographic : characteristics on students’ academic engagement in selected universities in Cavite. Self-made questionnaire was employed to a total of 29 educators and 400 : students from selected universities in Cavite. Data were collected and analyzed using analysis of variance used for comparison and ordered logistic regression for identifying the relationship between the variables. The findings revealed that students’ active involvement in an educational setting varies based on educators’ age, sex, and educational attainment. It was also observed that educators’ demographic characteristics significantly affect the degree of learner's attention. Thus, educators’ demographic characteristics are predictors of the Students’ willingness, motivation, and curiosity in learning. Diversity is inevitable in an organization, in order to cope with this, a diversity management program was recommended. This program will help in enhancing the effectiveness of educators despite their demographic differences on students’ academic engagement.
