The study was conducted to develop a geographical information system for tourism industry of Tagaytay City. It will benefit every individual who wishes to acquire variety of information about Tagaytay City. It aimed to replace the manual method of searching the location of different establishment in Tagaytay.
The system analysis and design was conducted at one of the proponent's house in Brgy. Banaba Cerca, Indang, Cavite while evaluation of the software was conducted at the Information Technology building, Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang, Cavite and City Planning and Development Office of Tagaytay City. The developers used the prototyping methodology for the development of the software. It was designed following the Data Flow Diagram and Structure Chart together with the Entity –
Relationship diagram, visualizing the program architecture. C # programming language was used for the development of the software, MsSQL as database. The study was found to be an effective replacement for the existing manual method of searching the establishment location and variety of information in Tagaytay.
