Abstract: FELLO, JOANNA JOY C. Nature of Work of Student Assistants in Cavite State : University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Prepared under the supervision of Dr. | Elizabeth E. Polinga : The purpose of this study was to examine the nature of work of the student assistants in Cavite State University (CvSU). The study was carried out on the student assistants of the CvSU main campus as well as those in the integrated and satellite campuses. The survey questionnaire was personally distributed to the 59 student assistants of the university for the assessment of their nature of work. Findings revealed that the student assistants worked in the various offices while others were assigned to clean specific areas. Among the benefits that they were enjoying was the discount in their other fees which are the SRF and SFDF. The participants allocate their income to their projects, daily allowance, school supplies, computer rentals, dormitory, food, transportation, and tuition. Majority of the student assistants wanted an increase in their compensation and to be given some additional benefits. They at times encounter some problems from being student assistant. Most of them were in time management, delayed payment, and having a hard time in studying while working.
