Catacutan The study was conducted from January to April 2017 to determine the implications of human resource information system towards human resource practices and performance of companies in First Cavite Industrial Estate. Specifically, the study aimed to; determine the company profile of the companies in First Cavite Industrial Estate as to years of operation, nature of business and number of employees; determine the current human resource practices in terms of recruitment and selection, corporate guidelines and employee manuals, memos and announcement, CSR programs/training and events, benefits (mandatory /voluntary), application for official business leaves and request for employees pays lip; evaluate the functionalities of HRIS in relation to human resource practices; determine the implications of using Human Resource Information System as to human resource practices and human resource performance; determine the significant relationship between HRIS functionalities and human resource performance after the implementation of Human Resource Information System; and identify the problems encountered by human resource personnel in implementing HRIS on their current human resource programs of companies in First Cavite Industrial Estate. Thirty human resource managers/personnel’s from 119 companies in First Cavite Industrial Estate were the participants of the study. Data were gathered through survey questionnaires. The analysis and the presentation of data were done through the use of descriptive and quantitative tools such as frequency counts, percentages, means, standard deviation and correlation tools. Result showed that most of the companies in FCIE have been operating for at It 16 years. The implication of Human Resource Information System towards human resource practices and performance was found to be positive and current practices and performance were improved after the implementation of the system. Furthermore, the functions of Human Resource Information System was not significantly related to human resource performance after the implementation of system.
