Abstract: ARELLANO JR, AVELINO P., GUEVARRA CHRISTER C. Conversion of an Improved Portable Electrical Power Drill into a Push Button for Cavite State University. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Industrial Technology, major in Electrical Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2014. Adviser: Garry M. Cahibaybayan. The study was conducted to enhance and to promote the convenience of using the machine present in the university. The Conversion of an Improved Portable Electrical Power Drill into a Push Button was tested and evaluated in terms of structure, efficiency and ability. The portable power drill into a push button operation was composed of drill, Ac Motor, gearbox, switches, pulley and wire. The switch is the controller of the portable power drill. The portable power drill simplifies the operation for making a project. This study aims to develop a prototype device that will help students' performance in their laboratory works specifically in drilling holes in various materials. Thorough testing was conducted before it was subjected to final evaluation. It was tested by using the portable power drill into a push button operation in class. The portable power drill was tested to various activities at the industrial areas even in different activities with friends and classmates. It was done to further determine the capability of the portable power drill. The good outcome led to subject the design for evaluation. The study satisfied all the objectives and therefore confirmed that it was conducted. However, there were some recommendations to further determine the performance of the device.
