This study was conducted to know the cash management decision and financial literacy of pantawid pamilyang pilipino program (4ps) beneficiaries in selected municipalities and cities of Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to: (1) determine the socio-economic profile of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries in terms of age, sex, years in program, number of dependents, educational attainment, maximum amount received in the program, occupation, monthly income, and other sources of income, (2) determine the cash management decision in terms of educational expense, cost of living, health expense, miscellaneous, (3) determine the financial literacy in terms of attitude, knowledge, and behavior, (4) ascertain the relationship between socio-economic profile and cash management decisions of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries, (5) ascertain the relationship between cash management decision and financial literacy of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries.
This study utilized the descriptive and correlation method of research. This method was utilized with the help of adopted guided and modified questionnaires from previous studies entitled "Implications of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program(4p's) to the Financial Sustainability of Households in Selected Areas of Cavite; Financial Literacy and Financial Condition of Single Parents in Selected Areas of Cavite and Financial Literacy of Financial Management students of Cavite State University, Main Campus". The statistical tools were used were mean computation, percentages, frequency, and standard deviation. Three hundred ninety-seven (397) beneficiaries were the participants of this study. The statistical treatments used were Likert Scale, Spearman's rank-order correlation, Pearson rank correlation coefficient, Point-biserial correlation, and Chi-Square test.
The study showed that there was a significant relationship between age and cash management decision in terms of miscellaneous; maximum cash grants and cash management decision; number of dependents and cash management decisions in terms of education, health, cost of living, and miscellaneous; total monthly income and cash management decision in terms of education. In general, the study showed that in terms of educational expenses, health expenses, cost of living and miscellaneous, there was no significant relationship between the cash management decision and financial literacy.
