Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Prof. Marlon A. Mojica. This study was conducted to determine the factors of money management and financial independence of nurses in selected private hospitals in Cavite from March 9 to 31, 2017. The objectives of the study are to determine the socio-demographic profile of selected nurses, to identify the factors of money management practices, to identify the levels of financial independence, to ascertain the relationship between socio-demographic profile and money management, to ascertain the relationship between socio-demographic profile and financial independence and finally, to evaluate the significant relationship between factors of money management practices and financial independence. A total of 330 nurses in selected private hospitals served as the respondents of the study. Private hospitals were categorized and those with the most number of employed nurses were chosen. Quota Sampling was used to determine the total sample size of the study. Frequency count, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used in describing the socio-demographic profile, money management and the levels of financial independence of nurses in selected private hospitals in Cavite. Rating Scale was used in presenting data on financial independence of nurses and in determining the money management practices. Money management was measured by using the point system below. Inferential analysis was used to determine the relationships between the money management and financial independence to socio-demographics. The correlational analyses include Pearson's correlation and Spearman's rank correlation. The age nurses in selected private hospitals in Cavite who participated in the study ranged from 20 to 40 years old, dominated by female in number and single. Majority of the participants worked for 3 years, and earned an average monthly income of P 19, 302.12. Aside by being a nurse, some of the nurses own a business that serve as other source of their income. Based on the results, socio-demographic profile has no significant relationship to the factors of money management was failed to reject since there is no sufficient evidence to reject hypothesis. Moreover, there is no relationship between the socio-demographic profile and financial independence was failed to reject due to insufficient evidence to fully reject hypothesis. In addition, the research failed to reject null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between factors of money management and financial independence due to insufficient evidence.
