David This study was conducted to determine the influence of key performance indicators on initiating Six Sigma and perceived business performance in selected enterprises in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: (l) determine the business profile of SMEs in Cavite; (2) determine the level of performance on key performance indicators to initiate Six Sigma of selected SME; (3) determine the level of performance on perceived business performance; (4) determine the significant relationship of the key performance indicators on the business performance; (5) determine the significant difference on the level of performance on on-time delivery when grouped based on business profile business profile; (6) determine the significant difference on the level of performance on inventory turnover when grouped based on business profile business profile; (7) determine the significant difference on the level of performance on production lead time when grouped based on business profile business profile; (8) determine the significant difference on the level of performance on production downtime when grouped based on business profile business profile; and (9) determine the significant difference on the level of performance on productivity of employee when grouped based on business profile business profile. The study had a total of 35 participants In selected SME manufacturing companies in Cavite that from Tanza, Imus, Dasmarifias, Mendez and Silang. Descriptive statistical tools that were used to analyze the study were Likert scale, frequency count, percentage, mean and range in order to determine the level of performance of key performance indicators and the perceived business performance. Based on the result, medium enterprises have the greatest number of participants which was 62.9 percent. Most of the SMEs operating for I l to 15 years and most of the participants were from food manufacturing business. Only few of the SMEs have ISO Certification and the greatest number of employees ranged from 51 to 100. The participants were influenced by key performance indicators most especially the on-time delivery which has 4.23 as overall mean. Spearman Rank Correlation and Pearson Correlation showed that there is a significant relationship on the business profile and perceived business performance in terms of financial and operational performance of SMEs except from production lead time. Kruskal Wallis showed that there is a significant difference between the level of performance on each key performance indicators and business profile in terms of on time delivery and business scale, production downtime and business scale, production down time and types of manufacturing business.
