Antonio, RN, MA Psy, MAN O This study explored the associations between lifestyle, health behavior, subjective health status, and satisfaction of diabetic clients of Trece Martires, City Cavite. The study aimed to identify the health appraisals and lifestyle among Type 2 diabetic clients. The researchers utilized frequency distributions, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Spearman correlation to summarize the data. The data gathered were tallied, interpreted, and statistically analyzed. Socio-demographic profile revealed that the highest percentage of the participants came from the age group 51 to 60 with female predominance. The highest educational attainment belonged to high school graduate. Most of the participants are married and unemployed. The common monthly income of the participants are below 5,000 pesos. Lastly, the majority of the participants used Phil health as their health insurance. In terms of appraisal of lifestyle, the study revealed that there were four out of four criterions that has relationship in having type 2 diabetes mellitus namely dietary, exercise, compliance to treatment and activities of daily living. With regards to the relationship of the demographic profile and current lifestyle of type 2 diabetic clients, it revealed that there was a significant relationship between demographic profile and dietary lifestyle with educational attainment (0.005). In terms of exercise, it revealed that there was a significant relationship between exercise in terms of age diagnosed (0.004), educational attainment (0.000), sex (0 000), marital status (0.001) and monthly income (0 046). Meanwhile, the sex (0.000), marital status (0.001) and monthly income (0.046). Meanwhile, the compliance to treatment and its significant relationship to demographic profile revealed that there was a significant relationship between compliance to treatment and educational attainment (0.054), sex (0.039), marital status (0.039) and monthly income (0.004). And lastly, there was significant relationship between Demographic Profile and Activities of Daily Living in terms of educational attainment (0.011). Hence, the researchers would strongly recommend to fun her review and evaluate the Department of Health (DOH) through implementation of community health education program; free seminars; health promotion activities regarding on the proper managing to a healthy lifestyle; to strengthen dissemination and information campaign regarding on the prevention of this disease throughout the community. Moreover, Cavite State University- College of Nursing should institute a seminar and other health programs in collaboration with the nursing students to extend the word to other colleges and add to their knowledge about the disease and for the future researchers to conduct similar studies about effectiveness of the health education program throughout the community.
