Abstract: CASTRO, RACHEL ANNE T. and COMEZ, JENENAH ROSE L. Pinilakang Tabing: A Sinematech Museum, Theater and Repository of Film Archives. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Arch. Epitacio A. Olegario, Jr. The design was conducted from June 2013 to March 2014. The study aimed to conceptualize a design proposal for the Sinematech Museum, Theater and Repository of Film Archives. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) established site criteria that will serve as a basis in selecting the most efficient and feasible location; 2) identify and justify the most efficient and suitable location for the proposal; 3) formulate design concept, form concept and design philosophy that will serve as guides in conceptualizing the building design; 4) determine and formulate appropriate design considerations for the proposal to come up with an appropriate design; 5) identify then apply certain laws, codes, and regulations related to govern the design proposal; 6) design a film museum, theater, and the repository that will cater thousands and more film records to restore, preserve and protect the country's achievement in cinematic arts and motion picture industry., 7) and apply modern technology facilities and mediateque features in the design. The site in Brgy. lruhin East Tagaytay City was identified to be the best suitable site for the proposal. At the end of the study, the researchers were able to conceptualize a site development plan, floor plans, elevations, sections and perspectives for architectural presentation and manuscript. A detailed scaled model was developed to show its actual appearance and it could serve as reference for the students and faculty members of the University and for the City of Tagaytay for future development.
