The study was conducted at Cavite State University, College of Nursing and College of Arts and Sciences from September 2020 to June 2021. It aimed to explore the teaching experiences of the allied health faculty members of Cavite State University during COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, it aimed to determine the motivations of the allied health faculty to continue teaching during COVID-19 pandemic; determine the challenges being experienced by the participants during COVID-19 pandemic; and determine the strategies used by the participants as their coping mechanisms. This study utilized a phenomenological qualitative design which summarized the teaching experiences of six (6) allied health faculty. A semi-structured interview was used to explore the teaching experiences of the allied health faculty during COVID-19 pandemic. The interview was held online via zoom or google meet. The data were collected from six (6) allied health faculty members of Cavite State University Main-Campus from the College of Nursing (CON) and the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The verbatim of the six (6) allied health faculty were transcribed and analyzed using an interpretative phenomenological approach (IPA) until the data saturation is reached. Results showed that the participants were more motivated intrinsically with their passion, responsibility, academic development of students, and students' feedback. While few allied health faculty members were motivated extrinsically in terms of their salary. Moreover, while they were teaching during the pandemic, they faced different challenges both technical and pedagogical. Challenges in pedagogical include difficulty delivering learning materials, technical difficulty, and difficulty grading time management while others need time adjustment. Other challenges in this category were novice and uninterested to learn online. While technically they were challenged with both their and student's unstable internet connection Lastly, it was concluded that the coping strategies of the allied health faculty in handling the challenges they experienced consisted of both emotion-focused and problem-focused coping. The majority used problem-focused coping strategies such as planning and active coping. Other participants considered emotion focused as their way of coping. These include journaling, self-distraction, spirituality, and cognitive appraisal. Based on the results and the conclusions drawn, it is recommended to determine ways on how to further motivate the allied health faculty to teach during COVID-19 pandemic, to address their challenges and to find ways in coping with the mentioned challenges.
