Abstract: CELORIO, JORGE BRYAN B., and PONCE, ALSAN L. Attitude of the college students towards 100-lap jogging in Cavite State University Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Sports and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Jazmin P. Cubillo. The attitude of first year students of Cavite State University Main Campus towards 100 lap-jogging in terms of their thoughts and feelings was determined. The difference between this attitude, thoughts and feelings were tested if they are significant. The demographic characteristic of the respondents was also looked into if they are significantly related to this attitude. Descriptive method was used in this study. The descriptive method is designed to gather information about presenting existing conditions. This is used to describe the nature of situation as it exist at that time the study and to explore the causes of particular phenomena. In terms of feeling, the participants manifested a very positive (x=4.365) attitude towards 100-lap jogging as seen from their strong agreement showing to the indicators for this. They ranked first in agreement is the indicators "incensed to perform 100-lap jogging" (4.48) second in their ranking of agreement is the statement "provision of a feeling of empowerment and freedom knowing", and "the strength of their body and their capabilities" (4.43). A rank third is the indicator "removal of boredom in doing this" (4.42). In terms of thinking, (t=4.44) participants also have a very positive attitude towards 100-lap jogging with, shown in the indicators: "feeling of accomplishment" as lop rank (x=4.64); second is the "feeling of satisfaction" (x=4.54); third is "feeling relaxed aid comfortability" (x=4.43). The result of the Chi-square test of association at 0.05 significance level (95% confidence level) showed that the relationships of age and course with the participant Maude towards 100-lap jogging were significant. The computed x2 value of the two characteristic are greater than their corresponding critical value of x2 at their respective degree of freedom. On the other hand, participant's sex was found to be of no significant relationship with the said attitude. Using the &test for two independent sample means, the difference in the means of attitude towards 100 lap jogging between feeling and thinking was found to be not significant at 0.05 level of significance. The E.-value of ±1.813 is less than the critical value of ±1.96. Hence, the null hypothesis is accepted.
