Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Joy N. Babaan. This research had the purpose of studying the basic psychological need satisfaction, psychosocial maturity, and attitudes toward violence of children in conflict with the law in youth care facilities in Cavite. The study was conducted among 48 participants, who were under rehabilitation in Bahay Kalinga in Dasmarinas City, and Strike Halfway House in Bacoor City, Cavite. The study determined the basic psychological need satisfaction, psychosocial maturity, and attitudes toward violence of the participants. The study also focused on determining if the basic psychological need satisfaction and psychosocial maturity have relationship with the attitudes towards violence of the participants. Based from the results, the researchers found out that most of the participants had moderate satisfaction of psychological need and moderate level of psychosocial maturity. It was also found out that the participants moderately favored violence. Lastly, results showed that there was a significant relationship on some of the indicators of basic psychological need and attitudes toward violence, such as autonomy and intimate violence, relatedness and conflict violence, intimate violence and corporal punishment. It was also found out that there were also some relationships between the indicators of psychosocial maturity and attitudes towards violence of the participants such as responsibility and corporal punishment, temperance and conflict violence, and perspective and intimate violence. Furthermore, the results showed that the lower level of some indicators of psychological needs and psychosocial maturity corresponds to a higher level of the participants' attitudes towards violence.
