Abstract: SIERRA, LEA G. Backyard Hog Fattening in Barangay Kaytambog Indang Cavite: Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Henry I. Rivero,MSc. This project was conducted at Purok II Barangay Kaytambog Indang Cavite from December 18, 2017 to March 24, 2018. The project aimed to gain additional knowledge, skills and experience in hog raising; determine the different problems usually encountered by the backyard hog raisers; and earn profit from a small scale hog fattening project. The six fattening hogs were provided with proper care and management during the 97 day-rearing period. At the end of the project, the hogs with an average initial weight of 19.17 kg ended up weighing an average weight of 83.33 kg with an average daily gain of 646 g. The average feed consumption was 168.17 kg and the feed conversion efficiency was 2.62 kg. A total of P52,359.00 was used in the project operation. The computed net income was P10,311, giving a return of investment (ROI) of 19.69%
