Adviser: Mr. Erano C. Esguerra This study was conducted at 25 Harasan, Indang, Cavite from May 30, 1990, to August 1990 to determine the effect of malunggay leaves supplemented with coconut water on the growth of broilers and to find out what level of malunggay is suitable. Six treatment groups having different levels of malunggay leaves plus 50% coconut water were used and replicated four times. Different levels of supplement were as follows : 1 — 10% malunggay leaves + 90% commercial feeds; T2 - 20% malunggay leaves + 80% commercia1 feeds; T3 — 30% malunggay leaves + 70% commercial feeds; T4 40% malunggay leaves + 60% commercial feeds; — 50% malunggay leaves + 50% commercial feeds; and IT6 — control (pure water and pure commercia1 mash) The results revealed that was the best level of supplement 0 This treatment improved the growth of chicks in terms of final weight and gain in weight 0 There were significant differences observed during the course of the study. It was also found out that increasing the level of supplementation as high as 40% decrease the amount of commercial feed consumption p thus lowering the cost of production.
