Abstract: ALMADRONES, CARLO Y. TRINIDAD."Growth Response of Pechay as Affected by Different Mode of Applica-tion of Leaves". Practicum Report submit-ted under Special Study Program, Don Severino Agricultural College, April 1992. Adviser: Prof. Josefino A. Viado. The study was conducted at Buenavista, Quezon from December 1991 to February 1992 to determine the growth response of pechay to different mode of application of ipil-ipil leaves. Four treatments, viz: control, green manure, tea manure and compost replicated three times were studied. These treatments were assigned on plots measuring 1 x 3 meters following the randomized complete block design. Results of the study indicated that the height, weight, number of leaves and circumference of the base of the plants were significantly affected by the use of fresh ipil-ipil leaves (green manure), ipil-ipil tea manure and ipil-ipil compost as compared to control. The study also disclosed that between the modes of application, the use of ipil-ipil leaves in the form of compost is the best in promoting the growth of pechay.
