April l 1994. Adviser: Mr. Dani lo V. Jeciel . A three—month field study was conducted at First Cavite Agricultural and Real Estate Development, Inc . a vegetable farm located at Balubad II. Silang, Cavite. It aimed to provide the trainee the actual practice and the chance to apply her gained knowledge i n agribusiness management to actual working situations. During the duration of the study, problems were identified, and feasible solutions were recommended . I t was observed that the firm lacked personnel manage the farm and has no specific or company rules and regulations to be followed by the workers. The firm also lacked transportation facilities such as del i very trucks, trucks for getting chicken manure, and farm machinery. The firm has a problem al so in the supply of fertilizers, chemicals and seeds to be used in the field . To cope with this, the firm should set specific rules and regulations for the workers. It is also recommended that the vegetable e farm should provide its own service vehicles or otherwise coordinate trips with the First Cavite Agricultural del i very trucks to solve the problems on delayed del i very of farm inputs such as seeds, trays, fertilizers, and chemical s.
