ORDO filEZ A total of 15 bottles of honey samples were collected from selected towns of Batangas namely: Nasugbu, Lian, Lemery and Lipa. The samples were subjected to pollen and chemical analyses. Some 15 pollen types were identified, namely: Psidium guajava, Cocos nucifera, Graminae sp. 1, Graminae sp. 2, Coccinea grandis, Mangifera indica, Compositae sp, Cyperaceae sp, Palmae sp, Acacia nilotica, Mikania cordata, Mimosa pudica, Leguminosae sp, Merremia sp, and Leucaena. Two were unidentified. Psidium guava, C. nucifera, Graminae sp 2 and M. pudica were the most frequent. Majority of the honey samples were identified as multifloral. Out of 15 honey samples, only seven honey samples were pure. The rest were adulterated.
