Abstract: BORJA, NANCY PERELLO. La Noceda Farm Asisan, Tagaytay City. Undergraduate Field Study, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Agribusness. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite April 2002. Adviser: Mr. Oliver C. Fauni. A three month field study was conducted to expose the student in production management, marketing, record keeping and in other farm activities related to agribusiness: to enable the student to familiarize herself with the different activities in the farm; and identify the problems encountered by the farm and recommend feasible solution. The study was conducted at La Noceda Farm in Asisan, Tagaytay City from November 7, 2001 to January 27, 2002. During the study, data were collected and gathered through actual participation in the farm activities, observation, interview with the employees and from the different farm records and similar researches. Primary data were gathered through personal interviews with the farm owner, chief operating officer, office in-charge of the Piggery and the caretakers of the farm. The farm raised swine for production and at the same time, to earn profit. They want to give the consumers good quality meat at a cheaper price and they also want a name for their farm in the livestock industry. The study showed that the farm management are well planned and well organized. However, after proper identification, it was found out that the farm faced a number of possible problems. In the production management aspects, there is high mortality rate particularly in farrowing section and weanling section because of small size and weak born piglets. Diarrhea, cough and cold of pigs were observed because of the weather condition. Another problem encountered was that some sows were bred and had false pregnancy after two inseminations because of the semen contaminate, the process perfected and the sow are not totally in heat. The farm has no problem as far as marketing is concerned. Swine farm produce are directly sold in Mahogany Market in Tagaytay City.
