Abstract: GOBOY, CHRISTINE R. State Land Investment Corporation, Binondo, Manila. Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002. Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido. A field study was conducted at State Land Investment Corporation, Binondo, Manila. Generally, the field study was conducted to enable the student to apply gained knowledge in management, systems, and operation of State Land Investment Corporation. Specifically, this study aimed to: present an overview of the company’s operation management, organization management, and functional areas; analyze the flow of activities and marketing skills gathered from the firm; present various projects implemented by the firm; and find out the problems encountered by the firm and provide possible solutions to the problems. State Land Investment Corporation is involved in the development and selling real estate properties. State Land being a service-oriented company promotes Quality Customer Service. Quality Service, not only for clients but also for co-employees, management, and the company as a whole. The company offers to the customers delivering products and services for shelter, commerce, and industry. State Land has lived up to its corporate goal of providing home for the family, an office for businessman, and a plant for the industrialist. The performance of real estate in terms of land prices however, is very good. The company ensures the quality of its projects, the volume of housing produced here in the Philippines increased tremendously. Moreover, Parent Company Notes to Financial Statement are presented to analyze the financial relatively good year for most of the Filipino in terms of receiving more benefits and higher pay. All sorts of real estate developments come out in the market today, because real estate development is a thriving business. For further improvement of the company, the following are recommended: the firm should give more emphasis on Land Sales (section of Marketing) which is primarily the beneficiary of all in the field of real estate; marketing, essentially will free up the staff from preparing reports manually since this can be done by the computer, they should provide timely and up to date information regarding lot inventory, lot sales, and customer balances through on line updating and inquiring, and Sales Personne! should have on line access to the transaction of the clients so that they will no longer have to go through voluminous files just to know the status of accounts. This study focused on the activities undertaken that involves both formal classroom learning and practical on the job experience. During the actual training, traveling time was quite hard due to traffic condition and travelling expenses were too expensive.
