Abstract: CASAMBROS AMABELLE Q., VIDALLON PEPITO M., ROTAIRO ERICSON M., NUNEZ RODEL P. A-PER's Broiler Production. An Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2002. Adviser; Ms. Judith V. Buena. Generally, the study aimed to determine the feasibility of poultry raising in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the profitability of a poultry raising business; identify the strategies applicable to the marketing of poultry in terms of pricing promotion and distribution; and to identify and provide possible solution to problems in poultry production and marketing. This study was conducted at Castatios Cerca , General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite from November 21,2001 to February 21, 2002. The project was mainly concerned with the production of fresh poultry products. The different activities included acquisition of feeds and stocks, brooding, medication sanitation and hygiene, harvesting and farm recording. During the four-month period of operation, 1400 chickens were raised for two cropping periods. Generally, the average mortality rate for the entire business period was 18.4 percent. The major products sold by the enterprise were live and dressed chickens, which also included entrails like livers and gizzards. Live chickens were sold at P60.00 per kilo and dressed chickens were sold at P90.00 per kilo. The market of the enterprise included walk-in buyers, retailers, restaurants and others. The problems that the entrepreneurs faced in the conduct of the project were the availability of funds, high price of production inputs, and high mortality rate during cold seasons.
