Abstract: DIMAPILIS, SHERLYN OXIMOSO. Canyon Woods resort Club, Inc., Laurel Batangas. Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSBM) major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, April 2002. Adviser: Ms. Cristina R. del Mundo. A field study was conducted at Canyon Woods Resort Club, Inc. located at Sequoia Drive, Diokno Highway, Laurel, Batangas. This field study was conducted to help the student gain knowledge in management, production, marketing and financial operation of the club and identify problems encountered and come up with feasible solutions. The field study also aimed to assist the student to develop skills and abilities for professional and personal advancement. Canyon Woods resort Club, Inc. is managed by a Board of Directors, General manager, resident manager and 12 departments. These are the Personal Department, Food and Beverage Department, Membership Department, Front Office Department Accounting department, Housekeeping Department, MIS, Sports and Recreation Department, Engineering Department, and Security Department. The office and club are open during weekdays from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and during weekends from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. As of December 2001, the resort had 1,200 active and permanent members. Each member has their own dependents, either his parents or his children. Dependents can use al the facilities using an authorization letter, or membership card of the primary member to be submitted to the resort officer or staff The problems identified by the resort are lack of communication between the members and the club, no updated addresses of the members and misunderstanding of the club policies. Having a good flow of communication among members and the club can minimize these problems. The club should communicate regularly with the members to update their addresses and their obligation on the general policies.
