ESCOBIDO, RIZA BAES. Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc., Pasay City, Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002. Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido.
A 480-hours of field study was conducted at Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT), located at Pasay City from June 2001 to December 2001. It aimed to apply the theoretical knowledge and skills acquired by the student-trainee in the classroom. This field study reports presents some information about the PHILEXPORT Services, its Organization and Management, Marketing and Finance. Before conducting the field study, a letter of request to conduct apprenticeship in the PHILEXPORT was made. When the letter of request was approved, the firm provided an acceptance letter to the University for Confirmation. Data and other information were gathered from the company's records/files and through research and personal interview with the persons who are knowledgeable on specific matters related to the study. The company wants to improve the services being offered to its PHILEXPORT members and clients including foreign buyers. This study provided more experiences to the student-trainee to develop her skills particularly on the use of office equipment and machinery. She also learned how to deal with the different kinds of people. And through these practices, the student was able to strengthen her knowledge about the actual conditions in the firm.
During the span of training in the Membership department of the company the following skills were acquired through the use of office equipment like faxing the requirements for PHILEXPORT Membership and encoding of the paper works.
