Abstract: MARGES, PERLITA ATAS, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite, April 2002 Factors Influencing the Supply of Secondary Teachers in Cavite . Adviser: Dr. Leonora A. Mojica. This study was conducted to determine the supply of secondary teachers produced by Teacher Education Institutions in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: 1) determine the supply of the secondary teachers produced by institutions in Cavite; 2) ascertain the perception of the faculty members of the BSE program in terms of: admission requirements, curriculum content, library facilities, laboratory facilities; 3) determine the perception of the students of the BSE program in terms of: admission requirements, curriculum content, library facilities, laboratory facilities; 4) determine the difference between the perception of the faculty members and students of the BSE program in terms of: admission requirements, curriculum content, library facilities, laboratory facilities; 5) ascertain the relationship between the supply of secondary teachers and the following factors: a) perception of the faculty members of the BSE programs in terms of: admission requirements, curriculum content, library facilities, laboratory facilities; b) perception of the students of the BSE program in terms of: admission requirements, curriculum content, library facilities, laboratory facilities, The instruments used in data gathering were the Supply of Secondary Teachers and Factors Influencing the Supply of Secondary Teachers. The study was conducted in nine Teacher Education Institutions in Cavite namely: Adventist University of the Philippines, Cavite College of Fisheries, Cavite State University, De La Salle University, The instruments used in data gathering were the Supply of Secondary Teachers and Factors Influencing the Supply of Secondary Teachers. The study was conducted in nine Teacher Education Institutions in Cavite namely: Adventist University of the Philippines, Cavite College of Fisheries, Cavite State University, De La Salle University, Immaculada Conception College, Imus Institute, Philippine Christian University, Saint Joseph College and Western Colleges. The main respondents were the nine administrators, 60 faculty members of the BSE program, and 504 students of the BSE program. The statistical measures employed were frequency counts, percentages, t-test, and Pearson-Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings showed that there were 552 secondary school teachers produced by the institutions in Cavite for the last two years.
