GALUPO, SHEILA B., and PIMENTEL, BIJAY S. Design and Development of a Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) with Monitoring System for the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering (DCEE). Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2005. Adviser: Engr. Edwin R. Arboleda.
The design and development of a Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) with monitoring system was constructed at Tanza, Cavite. The main objective of the study was to design and develop a PABX with monitoring system for the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering (DCEE). This study was conducted to provide communication between the faculty members inside the department faculty room and the students. Five telephone units were used in the design project. One was placed outside the faculty room while the remaining telephone units were placed inside the faculty room. A monitoring system was provided so that faculty members can view the person on the other line. Since the telephone system was not connected to an outside telephone Company line, it can only handle local calls.Making an outside call was not possible. The design project was presented to the adviser and technical critic during the preliminary evaluation conducted at the Electricity and Electronics Laboratory on March 14, 2005. The final evaluation of the design project took place at the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering Faculty Room from March 17 — 21, 2005.
