Abstract: CATALAN, CHELLE ANN C., ESTREVER, RICA ESTRELLA B., SAN JOSE, MARIA CRICELDA K, Analysis of Patient's Level of Satisfaction on Services Offered by Tanza Family General Hospital. Special Problem, Bachelor of Science in Nursing , Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite . April 2006. Advisers: Mrs Nenita B. Panaligan R.N., and Dr, Josefina R. Rint. This study was conducted to assess the reaction of the patients to the quality of care given to them, determine if the services such as facilities, management and communication affect the quality of care given to patients, determine the importance of the study for professional nurses, nursing aides and future nurses in the hospital, identify some common difficulties experienced by the patients in Tanza Family General Hospital, and determine if there is a difference on the quality of hospital services between the private rooms and open ward. This research study selected a specific number that represented the population and were taken through a random sampling. There were 54 total respondents, which are divided into two, 27 respondents in open ward and 27 respondents in private rooms. Only patients confined for 3-4 days in the hospital whose ages ranged from 18 to 60 years old, male and female patients were included. There is significant difference in facilities in terms of changing linens and pillow covers, provision of thermometer and intravenous fluids. On management practices, there is also a significant difference in terms of suitability of ventilation, proper disposal of sharp and harmful objects and assistance of patients. Lastly, in communication, there is a significant difference in checking and taking care of patients. The rest of criteria show that there is no significant differences on the services offered by TFGH between open ward and private room.
