Abstract: ORTIZ, CHRISTIAN JR CATIMBANG. Tracer Study of CEMDS Graduates of Cavite State University 2005-2008. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2009. Adviser: Prof. Myrachael S. Nolasco. The study was conducted to trace CEMDS graduates of Cavite State University from 2005-2008. Secondary data were obtained from Ladislao N. Diwa Memorial Library and Museum and the internet. Primary data were gathered through the aid of an interview schedule. A total of 211 graduates were selected from the lists of CEMDS graduates. Frequency count, mean, range and percentage were used to describe the socio-demographic characteristics, employment and income of graduates. Chi-square was used to determine the relationship between selected socio-demographic characteristics of graduates and income and employment and income. Majority of graduates were female, single, 24 years old and BSBM degree holders, with five family members and two dependents. Most of the graduates work permanently, in service oriented, private companies Most of the respondents were about 1 year and below in their present jobs and were receiving monthly income ranging from PH1'5000.00 to PHP 15,000.00. Majority of graduates had no job experience before their present employment. The most common problem encountered by graduates with regard to their employment was low salary. The graduates also suggested encouraging students to attend more training s/seminars. Among variables subjected to chi-square test, age and income, gender and income, civil status and income, household size and income, employment status and income, and nature of work were found to be significantly related to each other.
