The Development Plan of Cavite State University-Carmona Campus was conducted at Cavite State University-Main Campus and Cavite State University-Carmona Campus from June 2010 to February 2011.
The study aimed to prepare a physical development plan and to design a gymnasium for Cavite State University-Carmona Campus. The development plan is composed of a four-storey building, canteen, and a gymnasium. The design includes architectural and structural plan, plumbing, drainage, electrical, road layout and cost estimate.
The analysis of the structural frames of the gymnasium was determined by the used of Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD Pro 2004). Detailed analysis of the design was computed manually. The guidelines set by the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) were followed in the design computation. Auto-CADD was also used for the representation of the architectural plan.
The gymnasium has a lot of area of 1333 sq. meter with four classrooms and can accommodate approximately 1000 persons. Concrete and steel will be used in the construction of the design for they represent the most economical and safest material.
