Abstract: ERSANDO ETHEL H. and GARCIA JENALIN D. Socio-Affective Competence, Burnout and Job Performance of Production Operators at JAPE Precision Corporation, FCIE. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. October 2013. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Jasmin N. Avellanosa. The study aimed to determine: 1. the socio-affective competence level of production operator in terms of cultivating charismatic influence, developing trust, establishing rapport and promoting acceptance of difference; 2. burnout level of production operators in terms of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and diminished accomplishment; 3. job performance level of production operators in terms of objective measures and subjective measures and 4. determine the relationship between socio-affective competence burnout and job performance. The study was conducted from June 2013 to July 2013 using the modified and validated instrument. There are three parts in the instrument scale composed of 26 items for socio-affective competence, 27 items for burnout and 27 items for job performance which were utilized to gather the needed data. Based on the data gathered, there were 115 production operators rendering 6 months in their employment. Total enumeration technique was used in determining the participants. Participants have average level of socio-affective competence based on the computed mean. On the other hand, the burnout level was also average while job performance was in low level based on the computed mean. Moreover, it was found that socio-affective competence has a significant relationship with burnout. Likewise, Socio-affective competence has a significant relationship with job performance. Lastly, burnout has a significant relationship with job performance. The study revealed that all of the variables were correlated with each other.
