Abstract: JENNICA MARIE S. ROMILLA, Training Evaluation of San Miguel Purefoods Corporation (Poultry Products Salesforce). Case Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2013 Adviser: Ms. Iluminada R. Hernandez. A 320-hour case study was conducted at San Miguel Pure Foods Corporation from November 12, 2012 to January 18, 2013 to evaluate the training programs of the company specifically for the poultry products salesforce. This study also determined the training process of the company, how the company selects participants for their training program and what are the basis of training program to determine the different types of trainings conducted for the sales personnel, who evaluate the training and how often the company conducts the trainings. The study also tried to find out the problems encountered and recommended feasible solutions. The author used descriptive method in describing the training process of the company. With the support of the parent company San Miguel Corporation and partnership with major international companies like Hormel Foods International and Super Coffeemix Manufacturing Limited of Singapore have given San Miguel Pure Foods access to the latest technologies and expertise, allowing it to deliver flavor, freshness, safety, quality, and value-for-money to its customers. It holds in the portfolio the names of most formidable brands in the Philippines. The company implements the following steps in its training programs: (1) training analysis/training needs assessment; (2) selection of training design; (3) implementation of training; and (4) training evaluation. The company selects participants based on the results of training analysis. It providestwo types of training: first type is technical training which is related to the employee's job like creative selling for the sales persons; second type is skills training which is not related to the employees' work but it can help them to have better performance like computer skills training. The company gives trainings yearly, usually during January to September. However, trainings are also conducted if a need arises. The training manager is assigned by the HR department to evaluate the trainings by requiring the training participants to fill up the evaluation form after the training. Unfortunately, 30% of the trainees failed to answer all questions written.
