Abstract: REYES, JOHN PATRICK F. and VICEDO, MARK ALLAN E. Inventory System of House Economics, Vocational and Technical Education Department (HEVTED) for the Cavite State University- Main Campus College of Education. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Aiza E. Bihis. The study was conducted to develop an Inventory System of House Economics, Vocational and Technical Education Department (HEVTED) for the Cavite State University- Main Campus College of Education. That would serve as a computerized way of inventorying the item they lend. Specifically, it aimed to identify the problem through interview. The system consists of four modules. First is the Account Module where the authentication of the four levels of access is included. Second is the Inventory Module which holds the information of the items. Third is the Transaction Module which contains the information of the students and finally is the Report Module which is accountable for generation of reports. The proponents used the Software Development Methodology, Breakdown Priority Project (SDM) for the development of the system. It consist of eight phases: Analyze/Planning, Breakdown Priority Project, Design Module, Code Test, Debug, Integration of Sub Procedure and Testing, Integration of Existing System and Test and Implementation. The proponents used Visual Basic 6.0 as scripting language, Microsoft Access for data storage and logging of user’s data and Adobe Photoshop for the design of the system. The system was evaluated based on the following criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and profitability. Evaluators were composed of the following IT experts, college custodian, librarians, and instructors. The system passed all the given criteria in the evaluation and met all the minimum requirements of the software.
