CUSTODIO, LILAK M. and NOCEDA, CEDIE REX V. Development of Web-based Course Syllabus Maker in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Mr. Marlon R. Perefia.
The study was conducted to develop a web-based course syllabus maker that addresses the issues of misplaced personal data, slow generation of readymade course syllabus templates, and too much space in storing files experienced by the instructors of different colleges at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.
The system provides features such as automatic generation of readymade syllabus template and retrieval of daily time records. Moreover, the system provides user accounts for the administrator, instructor, and employees.
Iterative model was the methodology used upon the development of the study. It has five phases, namely: software requirement analysis, design, code generation, testing, and evaluation.
The system was developed using the following software tools: PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as the scripting language, My Structured Query Language (MySQL) as the database management system, and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dreamweaver for designing the system.
The system was evaluated in accordance to its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The participants were composed of the Students and instructors of Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Evaluation results indicate that the system has passed and completed the needed requirements.
