Cavite State University. indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Prof. Rowena R. Noceda. An entrepreneurial development project was conducted to expose the students in real life business environment and to apply their gained knowledge and skills in actual business operation. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. determine the profitability of food business which offers snacks made from potatoes and hotdogs; 2. develop necessary knowledge and skills among the entrepreneurs in the proposed project; 3. develop and strengthen entrepreneurial ability; and 4. determine the possible problems in business, its cause and provide feasible solutions. The project operated from November 17, 2014 to February 18, 2015. It was located at Trece Martirez City public market besides THIRSTEA. The products that the entrepreneur offered were twister hotdog, tornado potato, french fries, hotdog sandwich, hotdog on stick and coated hotdog. The capital investment of P30, 000.00 was equally shared by the entrepreneurs for the initial operation of the business. A total of P19, 095.75 was used to purchase stall, tools and equipment, office, kitchen supplies, and store supplies, raw materials transportation, uniform, promotional materials, rentals and utilities. After the entire operation, the business generated total sales of P 132, 931.00, total gross profit of P69, 746.95 and a total net profit of P59, 853.97.00 which gave them a total percentage of 199.51 percent return on investment. During the operation, the entrepreneurs encountered problems such as competition, changing of the location of the stall, and waiting time of their customers. Through this project, the entrepreneurs have fully developed their decision making ability, time management, entrepreneurial skills, critical thinking, proper management skills, and organization skills in doing business.
