Abstract: ALMERIA, CHRIISTRAN JADE V. and CALLARDO, RAVEN DAVE R. Development of a Computerized Collection System of Internally Generated Income of Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Gladys G. Perey. The study was conducted from June 2014 to February 2015 to develop a computerized collection system of internally generated income of Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite and address the problems faced by the organization such as: slow generation of reports, inconsistency of account names, and data and process redundancy. The system was developed to record transactions. and generate reports necessary for its operations. Prototyping methodology was used for the development of the software. It has six phases namely: requirements gathering and analysis, quick design, build prototype, user-evaluation, refining prototype, and engineer product. The system was developed using Adobe Photoshop for the design of the interface. PHP as the programming language, and MySQL for the database. Microsoft Word 2013 was used for documentation and Windows 8 as the operating system. The software was evaluated using an ISO 9126 based evaluation form with the following criteria: functionality. reliability. usability, efficiency, maintainability. and portability. Information Technology (IT) experts from the Department of Information Technology. and Accountancy professors from College of Economics Management and Development Studies, accounting personnel from accounting office and cashier personnel from the cashier office of the Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite served as the evaluators of the system. Based on the results, the software was evaluated excellent in all criteria because the system gave accuracy to the work of the accounting and cashiers office, specifically on the preparation of the reports of collections. For further improvement of the system. the researchers recommended that the organization should provide a permanent list of particulars for each funds to avoid the misconception, and also to have a graphical presentation of the collections made by the office
