Abstract: JUAN, LUI ANDREW N. and SANTOS, MARGARETTE A. Performance of Credit Cooperative in Selected Municipalities of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Development Management, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2016. Adviser: Prof. Nelia E. Feranil. The study was conducted to determine the:1) business profile of credit cooperatives in Cavite; 2) performance of cooperatives in terms of non-financial aspect and financial aspect; 3) level of performance of cooperative in general; 4) problems encountered during the operation of the cooperative. The research design is purely descriptive. A survey questionnaire that was adopted from the Cooperative Development Authority was used to gather data. The study was conducted in Cavite State University -- Main Campus from November 2015 to April 2016. Twenty five Credit Cooperatives from selected municipalities of Cavite as the participants operating for 8 to 24 years as of December 2014, all registered at Cooperative Development Authority served as the participants of the study. The performance was measured using two categories: non-financial aspect and financial aspect. Non-financial aspect gained a performance score of 70.64 with an equivalent score of 24.72 serving as 35 percent of the overall performance with an interpretation of “satistactory” performance. Financial aspect gained a performance score of 53.52 with an equivalent score of 34.79 serving as 65 percent of the overall performance with an interpretation of “fair” performance. Generally, the overall performance of credit cooperatives in Cavite is 59.51 with an interpretation of “fair” performance. Different problems were encountered by credit cooperatives but the most frequent problem encountered was the delayed payment of loans by members experienced by 88 percent of the participants.
