Abstract: VIDA RICA JANE. Backyard Swine Production at Barangay Kaytapos Indang, Cavite: An Enterprise Development Project (2016). Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite April 2016 Adviser: Mrs. Cristina F. Olo PhD. The enterprise project serves as training for BAE students majoring in Animal Production who will engage in this kind of business in future. This project aimed for student to gain more technical knowledge and skills in actual management of backyard swine production. The project was conducted in Brgy. Kaytapos, Indang, Cavite from November 10, 2015 to February 6, 2016. The four 60 day-old weanlings, with an average initial weight of 17 kgs, were used in the project. The starter and grower feeds consumed in the project were purchased at B-meg@ feeds supply at Brgy. Poblacion 4, Indang, Cavite. The hogs attained 82 kgs of average gain in weight at 88 days of production. The total sale of four hogs on carcass weight basis was P 40,740.00 and the total production cost of the project was P 34,572.00.The enterprise earned a net income of P 6,168.00 with 17.84% of Return of Investment (ROI).
