Descriptive-correlational design was employed in the study which involves analysis and evaluation of the relationship of demographic characteristics, psychological characteristics and personality traits to leadership styles among officials of satellite campuses of the Cavite State University. This design also intended to evaluate if the variables considered in the study are related with each other. The participants of this study were the designated officials of the satellite campuses of CvSU such as deans, directors and department chairmen. Total enumeration of the 60 officials was employed in this study. The management of the CvSU satellite campuses are dominated by female officials and their age ranged from 24-62 years. Most of the officials were married and were MS/MA graduates. Generally the respondents had a favorable attitude towards their work and towards their peers. The officials were also motivated towards their work and were satisfied with their job. The results of the study indicated that the majority of the participants were using democratic leadership style. Only educational attainment was found to be significantly related to the leadership styles of the participants. There is a negative and relatively weak correlation between the two variables. The rest of the demographic characteristics of the participants were not significantly related with their leadership styles. Thus, the null hypothesis was partially rejected. The results showed that there is no significant relationship between the psychological characteristics and personality traits of the participants towards their leadership styles; therefore the null hypothesis was accepted. Likewise, there is no relationship between the personality traits of the participants and their leadership styles.
