Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Crop Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016, Adviser Arnulfo C. Pascual, PhD. The project was conducted at Buna Cerca Indang, Cavite with an initial capital of P 8,592.64. The project was implemented from October 2015 to March 2016. It aimed to gain more knowledge and skills, enhance their skills, determine profitability, identify the possible problems in the production of bitter gourd, enhance the skills of the students in managing a crop production enterprise and maximize the value adding of harvested bitter gourd for processing. The project involved the production of 735 seeds of bitter gourd (492 Sta. Lucia and 243 Galacatica Variety) planted in an open area with a planting distance of 50 cm between hills and 3 meters between rows. Land preparation and preparation of trellis were done during the pre- production activities. Planting, fertilizer application, irrigation/watering, prevention and control of pest and diseases, weeding, harvesting and processing was done during the production of bitter gourd. Harvesting of bitter gourd was done 55-60 days from sowing to first harvest. Bitter gourd was sold P 70.00-80.00 per kilogram to entrepreneurs' neighbors and at the public market of Indang, Cavite. Bitter gourd leaves were also sold P 10.00 per bundle. Pickled bitter gourd was sold P 80.00 per bottle.
