Abstract: BAGAPORO, JOHN SALVADOR A. and MONTERO, NEIL PATRICK D. Management Information System of Indang Central Elementary School. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Mr. Marlon R. Perena The study was conducted to provide an integrated solution by the development of management information system that may address the issues of slow process of registration, slow generation of reports, security of records, and manual processing of grades. The system automates the process of handling the records that serves as the entry of all student information that is automatically stored in the database. This allows for the faster retrieval of the needed data and generation of accessible reports. Users profiling as well as uploading of grades are also automated. Moreover, the system provides user accounts for the administrator/guidance counselor, adviser, and subject teacher. Prototyping methodology was used upon the development of the study. It consists of six phases: requirements gathering, quick design, building prototype, customer evaluation, refining prototype, and engineer product. The system was developed using numerous software tools like PHP as the scripting language, My Structures Query Language as the database management system, and Adobe Photoshop and CSS for the design of the system. The system was evaluated according to its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The participants were composed of teachers Of Indang Central Elementary School and IT experts. Evaluation results indicate that the system successfully passed and completed the needed requirements.
