The Online Resource and News Portal for Bee Project of Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite was developed to help the Research Center to disseminate information about the research project of the university.
The proponents used iterative methodology as a paradigm in the development of the system. This methodology consisted of the following phases: planning phase, requirement phase, analysis phase, software design, coding and development phase, implementation phase, software testing and evaluation phase and deployment phase
The Online Resource and News Portal for Bee Project was developed under XAMMP, where in Apache was used as the server, My Structured Query Language (MySQL) for the database, and PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and JavaScript as the scripting language.
The system was evaluated by the participants based on the given criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability of the software and materials. The evaluators were composed of the IT experts of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, students and bee researchers of the Research Center of Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. The result of the evaluation showed that the system was acceptable to the users and that it met the user requirement and its objectives.
