The study was conducted in Cavite Provincial Jail of Trece Martires City from June 2015 to March 2016. The study aimed to identify the demographic profile of the inmates; to assess the restorative justice practices implemented in Cavite Provincial Jail as perceived by the programs facilitators; to assess the restorative justice practices implemented in Cavite Provincial Jail as perceived by the inmates; to determine the problems encountered by Cavite Provincial Jail in their practices on restorative justice as perceived by program facilitators; to determine the problems encountered by Cavite Provincial Jail in their practices on restorative justice as perceived by inmates; to determine if there is a significant relationship between the perceptions of program facilitators and offenders on the restorative justice practices in Cavite Provincial Jail: to determine if there is a significant relationship between the perceptions of program facilitators and offenders on the problems encountered by Cavite Provincial Jail in their practices on restorative justice. Descriptive survey through purposive sampling was done. Participants included 397 inmates and 50 program facilitators with a total of 447 participants.
Majority of the inmates belonged to the age bracket of 20 to 30 years old, male and married. Violation against RS 9165 was the most common crime committed while in terms of the length of stay, 1 to 3 years of stay was revealed.
Findings revealed that the perception of program facilitators and inmates in the restorative justice practices implemented in Cavite Provincial Jail were different in terms of problems encountered by Cavite Provincial Jail and their practices on restorative justice as perceived by program facilitators and inmates were also different.
